Bonnie Witkin Stuart, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychologist

I am passionate about helping people find balance, health, and joy in their lives. I am compassionate and kind, with an interactive and supportive style. My approach integrates several theoretical orientations within a strengths-based perspective, helping clients access and develop their existing strengths and inner resources. I deeply value the client-therapist relationship and cultivating present moment awareness (mindfulness). I believe that, when appropriate, mindfulness practices and meditation are wonderful tools for living an authentic life, and key to experiencing emotional regulation, increased awareness, acceptance, and inner peace.

I partner with my clients in making the changes they seek and work to empower them to live a life that is healthy, meaningful, and consistent with their values.

I graduated from the University of Oregon with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 1997 and I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Oregon. Among my areas of clinical expertise are anxiety issues, depression, relationship stress and challenges, managing life transitions, stress management, coping with illness, parenting issues, grief and loss, and trauma. I work with individuals, couples, and groups and along with Mimi Dvorson, M.Ed., I am co-founder of the Eugene Center for Mindful Living.
